As far as your
life situation is concerned, there may be things to be attained or
acquired. That’s the world of form, of
gain and loss. Yet on a deeper level
you are already complete, and when you realize that, there is a playful, joyous
energy behind what you do. Eckhart
Tolle from The Power of Now
Happy
New Year!
Take this class to your own level of
expertise! All asanas are held allowing
for personal exploration, and developmental strengthening. Restorative, pranayama and meditation also
offered. Previous experience with yoga
helpful but not required. ( Please…no serious injuries or chronic pain
requiring extended one-on-one attention.
May I suggest the Beginning and Active Seniors or limited mobility class
or contact Kimberly f
or information on private instruction your
limitations keep you from participating in this class. )
This
class is for the beginning, senior, continuing or active student with some
limitations. Basic breathing,
meditation and restorative asanas are also offered during every practice to
follow the flow and hold techniques offered by the Viniyoga tradition. This
class may be especially useful for those with multiple sclerosis (without
walker or wheel chair), uncomplicated chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, stress or
injury related back, neck and shoulder pain or just a great place to begin your
yoga experience.
This class is experienced as your ability to move
will allow; either in a chair, standing, while on the floor or all three! Each asana will be modified to support the
individual needs. May be appropriate
for those with hip, knee, shoulder replacement, arthritis, multiple sclerosis,
chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, heart disease, weight concerns and
diabetes. Because of the nature of
this class, we do move slower and take time to facilitate getting up and down
from the chair or floor. Must talk with
instructor before beginning class.
This is a great flowing yoga class for those who
are ready for a little more movement in their practice. You can move a little fast or a lot slow,
push it a little or chill a little, or somewhere in between as your need
dictates. This class is best for
continuing yoga students who already have a handle on the basic asanas and are
ready to link them together. This class
is not recommended for the physically challenged.
Flow and Hold Yoga for Intermediate ++
If you are a practiced yogi who enjoys flow work,
holding asanas deeper and longer, doesn’t shy from backbends or inversions and
is open to receiving the great teachings of pranayama and meditation infused
with Ayurvedic wisdom, then this is the class for you! Yoga asana is a process that involves first
and foremost the quieting of the mind. As flow classes require more strength,
stamina and mental quiet than non-flow classes, I ask that beginning students
and/or injured students not attend this class.
Yoga and
Ayurveda sessions are offered as private consultations scheduled on various
days and times. Please talk with
Kimberly directly about setting up your personal appointment.
